Doctor Why

I’ve been watching Doctor Who recently to brush up on a craft I’ll discuss later. I’m two seasons in so far, and the only question on my mind is how they extended this to eight seasons. Four would be enough, methinks. Five is pushing it, but to barge past sensibility and make eight? Astounding.

I hope the show’s length is justified, and not just them overusing a premise that I think would be suited for five seasons absolute max. It’s not that I don’t like the show, I actually love it lots. But I don’t like things that are strained from being lengthened. Shows are great when they end when they need to, not when they exist in perpetuity.

But I’d be kidding myself if I said Doctor Who couldn’t be justified to last eight seasons. I’m sure they’ll all be great, and the whole immortality schtick really helps to keep it going. What truly doesn’t deserve to exist, however is Grey’s Anatomy.

NINETEEN seasons of hospital drama. I’ve seen four episodes out of four hundred and honestly find myself questioning how they could stretch it that far.

Alas, my media opinions are unguided. I don’t watch much TV.
