Dormatorium

In approximately 9-ish hours, I’ll be moving into my dorm.

I am uncertain of the existences, mannerisms, or personalities of my roommates, as I was randomly assigned. Hope they’re kind.

To be frank, I feel none of the “certain dread” or “nervousness” of leaving home, because I’ll actually be somewhat close. Houston isn’t far away from my primary abode, so I could visit often. I’m excited for that, at least.

I’m actually in the process of packing. I don’t have much to bring, really. My room at home is quite plain (as that’s how I like it) and thus shall be my dorm. Maybe I’ll hang up my vinyls, but nothing more extravagant than that.

Thinking further into it, I’m actually quite uncertain about everything. Such is the nature of new experiences.

I really want to bring my PC monitor, so I could plug my MacBook in and read things more easily. The hurdle to this configuration would be convincing my parents to let me lug the monitor all the way to my dorm. That, and they’d probably question the need for a laptop if I’m bringing another screen anyway.
